- DIMAPUR — All
India Congress Committee national coordinator and Nagaland Congress leader
Rajesh Kumar Sethi has lauded the undertaking of the long-pending construction
of National Highway 36 from Dhobinala Junction to GS Road, extending to Station
Road and Tragopan Junction.

infrastructure project is being developed after a gap of over 20 years,
addressing a long-standing demand of the people.
- Noting that, as the then chairman of the Nagaland PCC
Minority Department, Sethi had persistently raised this issue since 2021,
making several representations and tweets to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and
the ministry, and repeatedly highlighting the urgency.
- He also mentioned that, prior to this, in 2020, protests
were organised under the leadership of the then Nagaland PCC president K Therie
demanding immediate attention to this long-neglected road.
- “After years of follow-ups, representations, and public
outcry, it is truly gratifying to witness this long-overdue roadwork finally
taking shape,” he wrote. This development marks a significant step towards
better connectivity and improved infrastructure, addressing a decades-old
concern of the people, Sethi mentioned.
- Sethi expressed his sincere gratitude to all stakeholders
involved in making this much-needed project a reality.
