[caption id="attachment_242230" align="aligncenter" width="900"] Officials of KDCC and NPF Kohima division pose for a group photo during the second coordination meeting held at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, on April 4.[/caption] Dimapur, April 4 (EMN): As a follow up of the April 2 coordination meeting between Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) and Naga People’s Front (NPF), Kohima division, the two parties held a second round of discussions at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, on April 4 pertaining to the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. The meeting deliberated on strengthening cooperation between the two parties in the district and constituted a six member KDCC-NPF Kohima division election coordination committee with six members. The committee members included president of NPF Kohima division Gonei-u Sirie as convener, KDCC president Kevi Vizo as co-convener and NPF CoB secretary Sevotso (Ase) Seyie as secretary, while the members are Khrielezo Bio, Vilhousielie Kengurüse, Yangertemjen. A joint press release issued by the convenor and the co-convenor stated that the committee has been empowered to coordinate with constituency level officials and workers of both the parties to strengthen the hands of INC candidate, KL Chishi, for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections in the state with the objective of protecting secularism and also to stand against the implementation of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2016 besides achieving an early resolution of the decades old Naga political issue. The meeting, held under the chairmanship of NPCC working president and convenor of KDCC election committee, Khriedi Theünuo, was attended by leaders of NPF Kohima division along with the six assembly constituency units of NPF and the KDCC officials with the frontal organizations.
