Dimapur, March 21 (EMN): The Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) condemed the ‘inhumane murder’ of Lunkholal Singson, an employee of state’s Veterinary and Animal Husbandry department who was abducted on the night of March 17 near Mukhami while he was returning home from a night super bus.
A press release by the media cell of KIN stated that, ‘No word is enough to condemn such beastly act of barbarism. No men with human heart will ever think of committing such act even to animals.’
‘It is our demand that the murderer should be given befitting punishment as per the law of the land and no right thinking citizens should ever think of bailing out the murderer. If done so, it will only encourage such crimes,’ it implied.
Since the life of the ‘bread earner of the family’ had been ‘snatched away’, the KIN also besought to the Government of Nagaland to proffer a job to the widow of the deceased so that she can support her children. The KIN also appealed that ‘the monthly salary of be given to the family, until the time of his retirement date as per his appointment records.’
Adding to their statement, the KIN expressed their sincere gratitude to the leaders of Western Sumi Hoho, Sumi Hoho, VK Area Gaon Burah’s Association, police department, administration, NGOs and people of VK area who took all possible steps to trace the deceased and the assailants.
‘In this moment of grief and pain, we share the same pain and grief with the bereaved family in solidarity. It is our humble prayer to the Almighty God to comfort and give solace to the bereaved family,’ it stated.
Medziphema Town Youth Organisation
The Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO) ‘vehemently’ condemned the ‘cowardly and despicable act of torture’ leading to the ‘vicious murder’ of Lunkholal Singson from Sirhima Village by some ‘crooked miscreants’.
According to the press release by the MTYO, it stated that ‘the perpetrators who deserve the severest of punishment as such heinous crimes are totally against the societal norms of life’.
MTYO has further stated its concern that the culprits must be apprehended under any circumstance and justice be meted out accordingly without any leniency and assured cooperation towards bringing about an end to ‘such evil deeds in the society’.
“We pray that our gracious Lord grant solace to the bereaved family through their time of grief,” it stated.
Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho
The Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) expressed their ‘utmost resentment’ at the ‘barbaric and cold-blooded murder’ of Lunkholal Singson. A press release from the MTMK informed.
According to the release it stated that ‘the dastardly act of the offenders must be denounced by everyone and at the same time, law enforcers are requested to arrest all the culprits at the earliest.’
The MTMK also stated that the society should not give chance to those ‘treacherous’ gangsters who are liable to ‘sow more seeds of anger’ and ‘hatred’ among people but instead, ‘unite and fight against all evils prevalent today’.
While MTMK is committed to maintain peace and tranquillity, it also assures to cooperate in matters wherever necessary in order to root out the bad from the society. The organisation further conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the family while praying that the ‘Almighty Father’ grants ‘peace and comfort’ to the near and dear ones during their hours of sorrow.
The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has ‘vehemently’ condemned the murder of Lunkholal Singson ( Alal Singson). An update from the media cell of CNTC informed.
The CNTC demanded the ‘strongest action’ be taken on the ‘perpetrators’ and that, ‘such barbaric act has no place in a civilized society and that these criminals should be taught a befitting lesson which will act as deterrent for others in future.’
The CNTC had also expressed its deepest condolences to Lunkholal’s wife and his daughter and prayed that the ‘Almighty God grant them courage in this great hour of distress and pain’.
