Along with the rest of the world, the Wokha district is all set to celebrate the World Music Day on June 21.
Prominent bands like De Band, Solid Rox and new entries The Dream Catcher and the Rising with senior musicians Dr. Zuben Kikon and Yanren Tungoe will be performing live on stage.
Also joining the array of bands will be Yonny and the Project. Yonny is an upcoming young live sound technician whose voice is as strong to mimic the numbers of world renowned gospel bands like Stryper and the White Cross.
The Dream catcher made its debut in releasing their first recording (audio) worldwide airing their number Radio Active in Indihut at the beginning of this month.
The celebration will be held at the Orchid Hill colony community hall at 6 pm.
It may be noted that Wokha district got itself in the queue of the World Music Day celebration last year when Naga feeds entertainment in collaboration with The King’s Sound and the Classic Sound sponsoring the live sound system joined hands and hearts.
This year the making of this celebration took its form when many bands, senior musicians and music lovers gathered irrespective of tribes and decided to self sponsor the expenses with regard to the success of the program.
