Dimapur, Dec. 18: Two-day community awareness campaign on the schemes and programme implemented by Social Welfare Department was undertaken in Wokha district on December 15 and 16.
The first day programme was held in Wokha town covering three ICDS project of Wokha, Chukitong and Wozhuro and the same programme was conducted Sanis and Bhandhari ICDS project respectively on the second day.
Speaking at the campaign, Tulula Pongen, joint director of Social Welfare stressed on the need of community participation for successful implementation of the programmes and schemes. He also urged the community to actively participate. Yarangthung Lotha, state programme officer briefed on the department programmes, while Soren Kikon, CDPO Wokha gave powerpoint presentation on various schemes.
The programme was attended by village and colony chairmen, VDP secretaries, GBs and Anganwadi Workers.
