Common induction programme for probationers culminates

[caption id="attachment_81232" align="aligncenter" width="400"]induction IAS, NCS, NPS and all Allied Services 2015 Batch with organisers during the concluding session of the common induction programme.[/caption]   DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31: The Common Induction Programme for IAS, NCS, NPS and all Allied Services of 2015 Batch culminated on October 32 at ATI, Kohima In two-week programme, renowned personalities from different walks of life included retired government officials, educationists, professionals in the fields of Law, Administration, Police etc, exhorted the Probationers in different issues and topics. Rev. Dr. Mazie Nakhro spoke on topic Motivation, professor N.Venuh on Naga National Movement, Khekiye K.Sema, IAS(rtd) on 16 point agreement, ethical issues in todays’ governance and public services leadership, Alemtemshi Jamir, IAS (Rtd) on general economic perspective of Nagaland, P.Talitemjen Ao, IAS(Rtd) on experience sharing, advocate Ashipri Zho on 16 point agreement and Article 371 (A), Thepfulhouvi Solo, IFS (Rtd) on relationship between civil servants and elected representatives in the government, Imkonglemba, IAS on development with special reference to VDB/ communitisation and agriculture economy- impact in Nagaland, Mhabemo Lotha, NCS on Law and Order, District Administration , Police , Village Guards, Lithrongla G.Chishi, IAS on glimpses of Nagaland and gender issues with special reference to Nagaland, Kevineino, secretary to government of Nagaland on human resource development, V.Peseyie, DCP on Law and Order, District Administration and Police and community policing, Mezivolu T.Therieh on Nagaland code, Dr. Visakhonu Hibo on relooking at the Naga society, Andrease Lotha on basic awareness on office procedure and Dr.Hovithal Sothu on Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules 1968. Besides class room activities, probationers also had discussions on various topics of importance, such as; tackling unemployment problem in Nagaland and brain drain, how to regain public confidence, fostering tribal unity, need for clean free and fair elections and ways to improve the performance of public servants. Other activities like group presented on their findings, field visit to Tuophema Tourist village and Swachh Bharat in ATI campus etc. In a valedictory function, Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner to the Government of Nagaland graced the programme as guest of honour. He congratulated the participants and shared his experiences of trainings. He also encouraged the participants for positive growth and not to avoid trainings that may come their way in their service life, as trainings always enriches the individual. Voluntary speeches were presented by the probationers who thanked the government of Nagaland and ATI for arranging such an enriching programme for them. A total of 28 presented a special number “Kelhou kevira” in Tenyidie dialect and a reminiscence of their stay in the institute was displayed through powerpoint presentation. Dr. Hovithal Sothu, course coordinator for the program, highlighted the activities that were carried out in the fourteen days and appreciated the attendance of the participants. Lithrongla G.Chishi, IAS, director of ATI, chaired the program and pronounced the vote of thanks. Participatory Certificates were distributed to all the participants by the guest of honour.
