Colony in Kohima sealed after Covid-19 case

Kohima, July 8 (EMN)
: A resident of Kezieke Colony, also an employee of Kohima Municipal Council who was on the primary contact tracing list was tested Covid-19 positive on July 8, as confirmed by an official source.

The source informed that the person was tested positive on Wednesday morning and had already been admitted to the Covid-19 hospital.  He informed that tracing contacts has begun and vigorous tracing will continue for days.

All the shops in the Kezieke area have been closed on Wednesday and the public are restricted from moving about.

The entry to Naga Bazaar colony from Kezieke was also partially sealed by youth organizations. Speaking to this paper, the youth president of Naga Bazaar colony Khrietoulie Kintso commented they are partially sealing the entry to their colony as a precautionary measure and to spread awareness.

He said movement is not completely restricted but in order to prevent unnecessary movements the youths took the initiative to take precautions until orders are issued by the government to reopen the Kezieke areas. We are just taking precaution from the colony side as there maybe people who are unaware of the situation, he added.
