Dimapur, June 18 (EMN): Altogether 59 students of Yemhi Memorial College (YMC) 2016-2019 batch have graduated. A graduation day programme was organised on June 18 in the college premises woith Dr. Arenla Aier, principal of Sakus Mission College, as the special guest.
An update from the college on June 18 stated that Holivi Shohe and Imsumanen T Yaden were conferred the best graduates from Arts and Commerce streams respectively.
Dr. Arenla Aier, in her brief yet inspiring speech, used the analogy of the graduates as brand new cars ready to undertake their respective journeys. She also reminded the graduating students to put God first in all their endeavours to reach their destinations.
The programme was chaired by assistant professor Amongla Imsong, department of English, while a short welcome address was delivered by Makhan Chetia, college’s principal.

In a similar programme, St. Xavier College, Jalukie, celebrated its 12th graduation day on June 17 with 61 students being conferred Bachelors of Arts degree under Nagaland University.
Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, ADC, Jalukie, who also graced the occasion, appreciated the role and contribution of St. Xavier College in the accomplishment of the students in particular and the people of the region at large.
Drawing examples from his personal life, he inspired the young students to achieve goals of life with focus and perseverance.
Dr. Fr. Francis Cheerangal, college’s principal, lauded the graduates especially Teresa Yholung and Kamsen for securing high ranking in the university level.
The graduates were awarded with certificates and gifts.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Capt. Rao, Dean of College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Dr. Godfrey, Fr. Augsutine, Fr. Marius, Kevipele, parents, teachers, students and well-wishers.
