DIMAPUR, JUNE 8: The Dimapur Government College Students’ Council has denounced what the organization called “the desecration and pulling down of the flex banner” that was put up by the alumni of DGC on the World Environment Day on June 4. The banner had appealed to citizens not to dump garbage at the site earmarked for a waiting shed and canteen to be constructed by the alumni association of the college, the organization stated in a note that was issued to the local media on Monday.
“This act of miscreants had completely negated the efforts of the entire civilized world and the stakeholders of the DGC to keep the surrounding dean and environment friendly atmosphere to make our planet earth a better place to live in,” the students stated.
