College festival ‘Pow-Wow’ underway in Tetso College

Staff Reporter Dimapur, March 13 The two days inter college youth festival ‘Pow-Wow’ was inaugurated today at Tetso College auditorium with Pro- Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University Prof. Lanunungsang as the special guest. The festival is jointly organized by Tetso College and the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development under the Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India and Tamil Nadu. 21 colleges from Dimapur and Kohima are participating in the festival. They will be competing in various sports and literary events to take home the coveted ‘overall championship trophy’ which would be awarded on the concluding day of the event. Students will be competing in various competitions in sports such as volleyball and basketball and literary competitions such as extempore, debate and quiz, among others. The fest on day one also witnessed an interactive business hour on soft skill enhancing employability by Managing Director, The People Channel, Rozelle Mero. The festival will be an annual festival with this year’s edition being the first.
