Dimapur, April 5 (EMN): Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang on Monday, while paying tribute to the three individuals who were killed by unknown assailants on March 22, encouraged the “people to retrospect on the history of the village, strongly uphold their rights and stand for it.”
A DIPR update informed that Zeliang had visited Lamhainamdi village in Peren district and “paid homage at the burial ground of the three persons”.
Zeliang stated that it was a challenge for the Nagas, the district administration and security personnel of Peren district.
It said that Zeliang called upon the “gathering regardless of their political affiliations and denominations to come forward and work unitedly and effectively with the administration and police personnel in order to ensure that the culprits be arrested at the earliest”.
“He expressed confidence that the culprits will be given stringent punishment while expressing pain and grief with the three bereaved families.”
