Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN): The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has strongly condemned in the highest term the murder of a Naga woman in a broad daylight in the heart of Dimapur town by a Manipuri on the Oct. 23.
In a condemnation note from CNTC Media Cell, warned non-Nagas and outsiders to be careful and not to take the Nagas for granted if not they will have to bear grave and extreme consequences.
“Our patience and tolerance is now seemed to be exhausting. By blood Nagas are a fierce warrior race and we will not hesitate to act accordingly. Whatever may have been the reason how can our Naga sisters and daughters be allowed to be butchered in the middle of the town in front of us by some outsider like we don’t exist at all?” the press release stated.
The CNTC said this is the most crucial time where Nagas have to start questioning ourselves as to why non-locals and outsiders lost fear and respect towards us even in our own land. The incident is an insult and a mockery for every living Nagas, the release added.
“There have been instances of street justice all over the world when people’s patience and tolerance runs out and we too would not hesitate to deliver it if those limits are crossed,” the CNTC stated.
Pointing out rape and murder incidents taking place in the state, the CTNC said all these have seemed to become a routine in the state and added that such happenings are a clear indication of where our future is heading to.
CNTC also questioned whether stakeholders from the law agencies, civil societies, churches, national workers to the layman are “learning anything from incidences that anyone from anywhere can come and do anything as they wish right here in our homeland.”
The CNTC appealed every Nagas to attend the rally called by the Lotha Hoho of Dimapur at the Deluxe Point at 9 a.m. to show solidarity and resentment against such heinous crime committed on our Naga woman.
Further, CNTC warned authorities not to bail the accused under any circumstances.
NMA: The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) has strongly condemned the gruesome killing of Alino Tsanglao, wife of Rajesh Agarwal by Rupak Singh from Manipur in the broad day light at Dimapur on Oct. 23.
While condemning the act the NMA demanded the strictest punitive actions against the accused as per the law.
A condemnation note from NMA president Abei-u Meru and secretary Lochumbeni Humtsoe stated “there has been a spiraling of violence against women and girls since last few years and an indication that security and lives of women and girls are being threatened every day of our lives, where we need to ponder with all seriousness.”
The NMA demanded swift justice in all cases related to rape and murders of women and children and urged the law enforcing agencies to ensure there are no loopholes for perpetrators of such crimes to get bail.
NCD: The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has strongly condemned the murder of Alino Tsanglao allegedly by Rupak Singh hailing from Manipur West Imphal, Manipur.
Expressing grave concern over such serious crime being committed in broad daylight, the NDC termed the act as gruesome and shocking.
“The NCD is also alarmed by witnessing Dimapur becoming as prime city for criminal minded and terrorists from outside the state to carry out their criminal activities. The NCD underscore the complete lack of safety even in our homes and on the streets from these criminal goons,” a condemnation note from NDC general secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam stated.
The council urged the government and law enforcing agency to be extra vigilant and award befitting punishment to the accused as per the law.
Meanwhile, the NCD conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
The Dimapur District Lotha GB’s Union (DDLGBU) has vehemently condemn the brutal killing of Alino Tsanglao, daughter of Nyamo Tsanglao of Elumyo village, Wokha, presently residing at Mon Bosti, Karbi-Anglong at Nyamo Lotha, Dimapur on Oct. 23 by Rupak Singh, son of Oinam Imo Singh of Pishumthong, West Imphal, Manipur and presently residing at Guwahati, Assam.
The DDLGBU urged the law enforcing agencies to initiate strong action against the arrested culprit as per the law so that such kind of heinous crime is not repeated. The union also appealed the legal fraternity not to take-up the case and demanded that the case be registered under non-bail-able sections.
Further, DDLGBU conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
The Lotha Eloe Hoho vehemently condemned the heinous act of Rupak Singh hailing from Manipur, in murdering Alino Tsanglao in a broad daylight at Dimapur.
The Hoho urged the law enforcing agency to take stringent action against the accused and also not to grant bail but to award befitting punishment. The Hoho further convey deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
The Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung (KLEE) is shocked at the cold blooded murder of Alino Lotha wife of Rajesh Agrawal.
While condemning the barbaric act of the accused Rupak Singh, KLEE said the gruesome murder of a Naga woman is intolerable to the society.
KLEE urged upon the law enforcing agency to award exemplary punishment and delivery justice at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the KLEE conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to grant peace to the deceased.
The Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA) has vehemently condemned the broad daylight killing of a Naga Lady by a Manipuri man.
The DDGBA said such a barbaric act committed in an open market is an insult to the law enforcing agency and peace loving Naga.
The DDGBA strongly urged upon the district administration and Police department to ensure security for the public and also appealed for exemplary action against the killer.
Elumyoe unions: The Dimapur, Kohima and Wokha Town Elumyoe unions have strongly condemned the ‘pre-mediated’ murder of a Lotha woman Alino Lotha a native of Elumyo village, Wokha district, and mother of three and a wife of Rajesh Agrawal on Oct. 23 by one Rupak Singh of west Imphal, Manipur.
“It is a matter of high concerned that safety in our own soil has become at stake, as criminals taking step to commit such barbaric crime in a broad day light in the heart of the city,” a press release from Dimapur Elumyoe Union Chairman Renathung Ezung stated.
The unions strongly urged the authority concerned to award a befitting exemplary death punishment to the accused. The unions also appealed to the legal fraternity not to extend assistance under any circumstances to the accused for bail.
Further, the unions expressed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that God grand them strength to withstand.
The Diphupar Lotha Youth Organization (DLYO) has strongly condemned the murder of Alino Lotha at New Market, Dimapur in daylight by Rupak Singh, son of Oinam Imo Singh of Peshumthong, Manipur on Oct. 23.
The DLYO demanded that the accused be punished as deem fit of his heinous crime.
