Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) appreciated the unity move by five political groups in the form of ‘Working Group’ to find a lasting solution to the protracted Naga political issues.
CNTC issued the press statement in the backdrop of the endorsement by the Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) on March 9 and March 14 respectively for initiating a separate dialogue with the Working Group of NNPGs without any delay by the Government of India.
‘Such coming together of our warring Naga brothers was the utmost long desired wish of the people of Nagaland and will surely pave the way towards better tomorrow,’ CNTC Media Cell said. The CNTC, having carefully observed the present political scenario, thoroughly deliberated on the issue and voiced out its opinion on the same line with the NGBFs and the ENPO. While maintaining the unique identity and strengthening the historical facts of the Nagas, CNTC said any solution should be inclusive of all groups adding unity should be first and foremost without any preconditions.
‘Any solution without unity and the knowledge of the people will invite only a social upheaval and further divide more the already fragmented Naga people,’ it added.
