CMO Wokha holds meeting with health workers

[caption id="attachment_255608" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Wokha CMO, Dr. Robin Lotha, and Deputy CMO, Dr. Zuben Kikon, with the staff of PHC Chukitong during the meeting on June 15.[/caption] Dimapur, June 19 (EMN): Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Wokha, Dr. Robin Lotha conducted a monitoring and interactive meetings with the staff of Chukitong and Englan Primary Health Centres (PHCs) on June 15 and 18. In the meetings, the CMO stressed on the need to maintain proper records and timely submission, community participation and to undergo training for PMJAY. Dr. Thungchanbeni Patton, DPM (Quality Assurance) gave orientation training on National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) for the staff. She stated that NQAS was developed keeping in lieu with international standards on public health practices. Dr. Patton added that NQAS is a tool for health providers to assess their own service quality and bring their facilities under certification. The CMO concluded the meetings by encouraging the hospital staffs to strife for NQAS certification. The meetings were attended by Deputy CMO, Dr. Zuben Kikon, medical officers, nurses and staff of Chukitong and Englan PHCs.
