Dimapur, Jan. 17: Chief Medical Office (CMO), Peren District under the chairmanship of CMO, Dr. Ngangshimeren, held district review meeting on January 10 at CMO Conference Hall, Peren.
At the meeting, CMO informed all the categories of staff that no leave will be granted from January 3 as per the directives from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren for the forthcoming Town Council Election, except for those on medical grounds.
He also highlighted the information from the Directorate that names of those residing medical officers or any other category of staff in the government quarters along with their allotment numbers to be submitted to the directorate.
CMO notified that no proxy or adjustments should be entertained and explained the main purpose of providing 2 ANM’s in the sub centers. He further requested all staffs to be sincere and coordinate for the success of the upcoming IPPI.
Deputy CMO, Dr. Tiala, highlighted about Iodine, salt testing report which is done by ASHA’s in the villages. She requested the ASHA coordinators to collect the reports from ASHA’s and submit to the Directorate every month. She also said there are some health units where staffs are not attending the monthly review meeting on a repeated basis and asserted all present that monthly review meeting should be taken seriously as during the meeting not only information is given but so also trainings and other important discussions are been held.
Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP, highlighted about the Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) which is to be held on January 29, and gave instructions on how and what to be done during the IPPI. She also talked about the importance of hand marking, which should be marked on the left small fingers of the child. She explained about the importance of Vaccine Vial Monitor and the Open Vial Policy and how to fill up the reporting formats. She also highlighted on the basic immunization schedule.
She also requested all the health workers to bring back the unused vaccines to the nearby ILR centers and medical officers to monitor and supervise during the IPPI in their respective health units sincerely.
