Dimapur, Dec. 12: Chief Medical Office (CMO), Peren district under the chairmanship of Dr. Ngangshimeren, CMO, Peren held district review meeting-cum- Advent Christmas on December 9 at CMO Conference Hall.
Dr. Ngangshimeren, highlighted the annual activities and acknowledged the sincerity and good work and pointed the gaps and failure. He requested all staff to forgive and forget the shortcomings and look forward for a brighter and better year to come. He also called upon all the staffs to cooperate and learn from each other. Further, he instructed the health workers to give vitamin A capsule to 1-5 years (every six months).
Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP briefed the upcoming IPPI scheduled to be held on January 29, 2017 and requested the ANMs and GNMs to prepare micro plan in advance. She urged the health workers to judiciously use the vaccines and to return the partially used vials and to update the beneficiary list by the ASHAs. She also asked the ANMs to use MCP card for both Mother and Child and also to use Sahli’s haemoglobin test method. Further she informed that all health units should send a representative from each staff category for the monthly review meeting.
Dr. Tiala, Deputy CMO gave a brief report on Healthy Lifestyle camp held on December 2 at Athibung PHC and expressed appreciation to the staffs for their cooperation. The meeting was attended by District Programme Officers, Medical Officers, health workers and district and block program management unit staff of NHM. The next review meeting is scheduled on January 10.
Meanwhile, a shot Advent Christmas programme was organised, where CMO exhorted the gathering and Dr. Imchatoshi, MO Azailong PHC, delivered Christmas message.
The function was chaired by Temsumenla, BPM Athibung, Dr. Imnuksungbai, Epidemilogist IDSP invoked blessing, while benediction was pronounced by Dr. Newmai, SMO CHC Jalukie. A special number was given by the NHM staff Peren.
