He was accompanied by advisor Pukhayi; Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, among other government leaders and officers including those from the Public Works department. Rio discussed with the officers issues about how best to restore the road. He suggested that temporary passages be opened as early as possible while also working on a permanent solution for it. The chief minister has directed the Power Grid Corporation to shift or remove high tension power lines and facilities that were affected by the landslide. Also, during an interaction with contractors of the four-lane highway, Rio urged them to expedite and complete the work before the allocated time.
