DIMAPUR — Nagaland
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday conducted a series of meetings with
various departments as well as the ESAF Small Finance Bank.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister shared details of his
interaction with officials from ESAF Small Finance Bank, which opened its first
branch in Kohima on Tuesday.
“Interacted with the Managing Dir. and officials from
@ESAFBank. I am happy to know their Kohima branch will benefit the State’s
citizens with savings accounts, micro-loans, and more, focusing on low-income
and middle-income groups. I look forward to more meaningful partnerships,” Rio
wrote.
He also held a review meeting with the Department of Animal
Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AHVS), along with Advisor, Kazheto Kinimi.
Rio emphasised the importance of adopting scientific approaches and best
practices to boost sustainable livestock production in the state.
“Directed the Dept. to support entrepreneurs by devising
schemes & hand-hold them with professional guidance,” he wrote in a
separate post on X.
In another meeting with the Department of Law and Justice,
accompanied by Advisor TN Mannen, Rio discussed strengthening district courts
and improving judicial infrastructure. He also stressed on the need to balance
customary and judicial courts in the best interest of the Naga society, he
shared on X.
