DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially launched a handbook titled “A guide to better health” on the first day of the Seventh Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, the chief minister was accompanied by the Speaker NLA, Sharingain Longkumer and Advisor to the Chief Minister & Chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha, after which the book was formally laid and announced in the House by the Speaker.
The handbook seeks to provide valuable guidance on preventive healthcare and better lifestyle practices, addressing the growing concerns of lifestyle diseases in the state.

The initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote public health and encourage healthy living among the citizens of Nagaland, particularly the legislatures and officers of the state.
The handbook was prepared in collaboration with the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Department of Youth Resources & Sports and Medanta Group of Hospitals.
