Dimapur, Jan. 13: Chief Minister TR Zeliang has greeted the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Sukrunye festival celebration.
As the colourful festival marks the beginning of sowing season ahead, CM said Chakhesang community celebrate the most important festival with traditional fervour and gaiety. He said celebration of Sukrunye also symbolises the sanctification of youth and a ceremony to ensure prosperous future for the community. Zeliang hoped the festival will not only be a time for merriment but a time to recreate the flavour and purpose of the festival. He wished the community a joyous and peaceful celebration.
