Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): A number of organisations and individual has conveyed condolences at the death of Yashitsungba Aier, the chairman and proprietor of Zion hospital, Dimapur and Eden Medical Centre, Dimapur who passed away on April 3 in Dimapur.
Chief Minister: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is saddened by the demise of Yashitsungba Aier, a well known philanthropist who passed away in Dimapur on April 3 at the age of 92.
In a condolence message, Rio said Aier was one of the senior most contractors well known for his humanitarian works. He described him as a generous and active social worker who built numerous churches besides helping various unions and organisations.
As chairman / proprietor of Zion Hospital and Research Centre and Eden Medical Centre, Rio said Aier endeavoured to provide state-of-the-art yet affordable health care facilities and services to the people of the State and beyond. He was a man who dedicated his life to the welfare of the people besides raising his children to be exemplary citizens of the state, he added.
Rio lamented that ‘we have lost a good soul whose contributions to the society will stand the test of time.’
The chief minister along with his family conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty God bestow his grace and strength upon them. He also offered prayer for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
NDPP: The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has conveyed condolences on the demise of late Yashitsungba Aier.
A message from the NDPP president Chingwang Konyak, lauded Aier’s compassion for humanity.
His demise is a great loss for Naga society and the vacuum created by his passing away will be impossible to fill, the message added.
NPCC: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress committee (NPCC) president K Therie has expressed sadness over the demise of Yashitsüngba Aier.
Aier was an honest contractor who contributed immensely towards the upliftment of Naga society. He has also made massive contributions to the health, welfare and future of the people of not only Nagaland but also of the neighbouring states in establishing Zion Hospital and Research Centre and the much long felt need of the region - Eden Medical Centre, bringing quality healthcare while making it more affordable for patients, Therie said.
CNTC: The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed shock at the demise of Yashitsungba, who they said was a true philanthropist who dedicated all his life, energy and resources in the service of his fellowmen.
‘The services he rendered towards the people are truly outstanding and noteworthy which the people of Nagaland will always fondly cherish in their memories,’ the CNTC stated.
G Kaito: Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye has expressed sadness over the demise of Yashitsungba Aier. He expressed regret over the loss of a ‘fatherly figure’ and a shoulder that he leans on throughout his difficult times. He was truly a trendsetter who has left a lasting legacy for the generations to come, Kaito said.
The minister and family extended condolences and share the pain with the bereaved family and offered prayer for the departed soul.
: Minister of Public Works department, Tongpang Ozukum is shocked at the demise of Yashitsungba Aier.The minister said Aier was an honest, polite and upright man who stood for the welfare of the people and also a renowned philanthropist from Sungratsu village.
While lamenting over an irreparable loss, Ozukum conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the bereaved family and the departed soul.
Besides, the NPF Minority Wing; Nagaland Government Registered Class-1 Contractors’ Union; Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union; Ao Students’ Union, Dimapur; and Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association, also conveyed their condolences.
