Over 2,100 farmers attend National Mission on Natural Farming training across clusters in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Niuland and Peren districts.

DIMAPUR — A one-day cluster level training programme on natural farming was successfully conducted for farmers at the cluster level by various establishments under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) 2025-26.
According to an update, the training programme was sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare through MANAGE Hyderabad and SAMETI Medziphema, Nagaland.
District agriculture offices of Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Niuland, and Peren, along with sub-divisional agriculture offices of Medziphema, Jalukie and Tening, organised the programme in their respective clusters in two phases.

The trainings witnessed participation from 2161 farmers from 21 clusters in each phase including progressive growers and community representatives of the cluster area.
The programme focused on building awareness and practical skills to encourage the adoption of chemical-free farming practices.
Hands-on demonstrations were conducted on the preparation of Jeevamrit and Beejamrit by the respective Krishi Sakhis/ Community Resource Persons of the clusters.
Technical support from the department and follow-up guidance were assured to participating farmers for successful implementation at the cluster level.
