- DIMAPUR — Pastor of Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church,
Rev. Dr. Mongzeung Mpom, has advised the students to strive for excellence in
their pursuit to achieve success in life. Stating that excellence is
achievable, he has cautioned against mediocrity.
- He stated
this during the 60th annual session of Jalukie Students’ Union Nagaland (JSUN),
which was held on January 4 and 5 at JSUN Central Park on the theme “Nature
& Nurture: Shaping tomorrow’s leaders.”
- He has
highlighted the indispensable role of nature in human existence, reminding that
nature is not just a resource but a lifeline that must be preserved and
respected. Also stressing that habits are the building blocks for success, he
encouraged the youth to adopt disciplined routines, set higher standards and
continually strive for growth.
- Reminding
that ambition without action is futile, he said true success required
persistence, resilience and a clear vision.
- The
programme was chaired by Kesuihakle, while an invocation prayer was said by
Ariebe Hingleu. The programme also witnessed felicitation of HSLC and HSSLC
merit candidates.
- A song was
presented by Pauram Mpom and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ileukaibe.
- It stated
that the two-day event witnessed interactive sessions, nature walk, tree
sapling plantation and thought-provoking discussions. It added that the session
underscored the importance of equipping the youth with values, skills and
knowledge to safeguard the environment.
