Dimapur, May 24 (EMN): A cleanliness drive at Sonouru River, near T Khel gate (near Don Bosco HSS, Kohima) till Sonouru Bridge (Secretariat Road), in Kohima will begin at 7 am onwards on May 25.
The cleanliness drive is a part of The Himalayan Cleanup (THC) campaign of Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI) and Zero Waste Himalayas. This year’s theme is ‘Our mountain deserves better.’ Organisers invited interested volunteers be a part of the drive.
Similar drive will take place in six other districts namely Mokokchung, Dimapur, Chumukedima, Mon, Kohima, and Zunheboto.
In Kohima, the cleanliness drive is organised by the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) along with Kohima Village, Green Team Kohima (Project 72, The Coming Generation, YARD and individuals), KCCI and KMC.
