Civilian injured as NSCNs clash

Correspondent KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 19 AN innocent civilian was grievously injured by a stray bullet as rival factions of the Khaplang and Khole-Kitovi clashed at PWD Junction, Kohima this evening. Police said that the incident took place at around 6:30 pm, when suspected NSCN factions exchanged bullets in public place. The injured identified as Pukrove Chakhesang sustained bullet injury in the abdomen with a stray bullet while shutting the door of his house. He was rushed to the Hospital and reportedly in a stable condition, police said. Police recovered around eight empty bullet cells from the spot.
