Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): Dimapur’s December Fest culminated on December 17 at the Dimapur District Sports Complex (DDSC) in Dimapur. The event was organised by The Better Dimapur team in collaboration with the Naga Council of Dimapur, Dimapur Municipal Council, Naga Women Hoho of Dimapur, Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation, Dimapur Naga Students Union, and the GB Union of Dimapur.
During the occasion the Christmas message was delivered by associate pastor at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo Imna Toshi.
Kevijua colony won the cleanest colony award in the big colony category. The second runner-up prize went to Notun Bosti and the third to Imkonglenden colony. In the small colony category, Hill View colony was declared the winner, while the second runner-up prize went to Lakeview colony and the third to Middle Point colony.
In the open art competition on the theme ‘Love,’ Imkong Imchen was declared the winner, while the second runner-up prize went to Christopher Aloysis Hart, and the third to Tunavi Achumi.
In the colony penalty shoot-out for women, Forest colony was declared the winner, while the second runner-up prize went to Lakeview Colony. Atula from Forest colony was declared the best goal keeper. In men’s, Ruboda Team won while the second runner-up prize went to Juvenile Social Club. The group’s Kevin Jamir was declared the best goal keeper.
In arm wrestling, Akash Das was the winner while the second prize went to Abeto Sultan. In photography Benjongsangba was declared the winner while Yanger Imchen won the second runner-up prize.
In stilt bamboo racing, Pulie konyak from Kevijua colony won the first place, while Khekaito from Sematila colony won the second runner-up prize. Chuba Wangnao from Rio colony won the third prize.
In the tug-of-war for men, Zeliangrong colony was declared the winner, and received a cash prize of INR 30, 000. The second place went to Lengrijan colony, who received a cash prize of INR 20, 000. The third prize went to NST colony, who received a cash prize of INR 10, 000.
In the tug-of-war for women, Kyong colony was declared the winner and received a cash prize of INR 30, 000. The second prize went to Imkonglenden colony, who received a cash prize of INR 20, 000. The third prize went to Ura villa colony, who received a cash prize of INR 10, 000.
Further, Pur from Imkonglenden colony, was declared the winner of the Santa Claus competition.
