CII Nagaland to host Entrepreneurship Summit

Dimapur, June 3: The 16th meeting of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Nagaland State Chapter, was held on May 28 at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, where the members deliberated over the activities to be taken up for the current year. The house seriously dwelled upon the proposed review of Nagaland Industrial Policy initiated by the State Department of Industries & Commerce for which a three member Committee under the chairmanship of LM Jamir has been nominated to coordinate with the Department. CII Nagaland state chapter also resolved to organize a seminar on food safety in association with the Department of Health & Family Welfare and a workshop on food processing in association with State Department of Horticulture and the Ministry of Food Processing, Government of India. Among other activities, it was proposed that “North East India-ASEAN Entrepreneurship Summit” would be organized in Dimapur in order to encourage the first generation entrepreneurs particularly in Nagaland. Towards this, a three member Committee headed by Dr. Aotoshi has been nominated to co-ordinate with the State government and the concerned ministry as well. Further, the members unanimously elected Neichute Doulo, MD of Gonpati Stock Ltd, as the CII Nagaland state Chapter chairman for the tenure 2016-2017.
