DIMAPUR — Pelezoto Kikhi, quality manager at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), visited the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Chümoukedima, on Wednesday.

According to an update, Kikhi, a certified Lean Six Sigma master black belt, during his visit provided an overview of 'Lean Six Sigma' and its historical significance. He emphasised its tangible benefits, including career advancement, higher salaries, enhanced problem-solving skills, and a versatile skill set applicable across various industries.

He also underscored the importance of reducing organisational process defects and increasing value across industries. He illustrated the versatility of Lean Six Sigma by showcasing its applications in healthcare, information technology, banking and finance, human resources, civil engineering, and many other sectors.

Furthermore, Kikhi highlighted the potential of Lean Six Sigma in aiding students and briefed them on its importance and the employment opportunities it presents.

The session concluded with a question and answer segment, allowing attendees to engage with the resource person and gain further insights.

Lean Six Sigma is a process improvement methodology designed to eliminate problems, remove waste and inefficiency, and improve working conditions to provide a better response to customers’ needs.
