THERE is no such established place of “Satanic worship” according to a press release by NBCC which together with churches had been conducting extensive research and investigations on the same following news in this connection in the local media. However, the research did find that there are some elements of satanic influence in some activities among some young people.While discussing various issues pertaining to Naga society in the present context, the matter of satanic worship came to light and discussed at length during a meeting of NBCC officials with Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship of Kohima and Dimapur held at Kenneth Complex, NBCC HQs here today (Monday).
In this regard, NBCC together with the Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship of Kohima and Dimapur appeal to all the churches and the congregations to be vigilant of such satanic elements as the Scriptures warn against.
They also appeal to the churches to intensify home visitations and prayers as well as conduct educational seminars and Bible studies and most importantly, encourage the families to create awareness by educating amongst themselves on the elements of satanic influences. As it says in the Scriptures people under Satanic influences can be delivered through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, all the believers in Jesus Christ , our Lord should positively work towards this end.
The Council along with the churches also request the public not to over-publicize the matter at hand because unintentionally there are tendencies to popularize or even blow the matter out of proportion.
The Council and the churches encourage the young people not to be overly alarmed or be confused by the speculations that surround them. Rather, stand firm amidst all the confusion and take it as an opportunity to reaffirm their faith in Jesus Christ and draw more closer to Him, the release added.
