Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): As an initiative of the Chakhesang Baptist Church of Ministers’ Hill in Kohima, repairs on a road leading to the Light House Prayer and Worship Center of approximately 2½ kilometres from Kohima town, were undertaken on Monday. It was repaired by members of the church, and led by Rev. Wepre Mero, pastor, updates on Monday informed.
The repairs included making certain portions of the road “pliable” for vehicles; filling up potholes with stones etc., the updates, issued by media coordinator Kuzhovesa Soho, stated. According to information available at this time, the expenditure for the entire repairs was borne by the church and was taken up in view of a forthcoming event called Quarterly Prayer Lord’s program scheduled to be conducted from November 2 to the 4th. The work was part of a goodwill mission too, the updates stated.
The road, which is said to serve as a lifeline to many residents of Aradura, was being maintained jointly by individuals along with the Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill for years, it was informed.
‘Road repairing for at least four to five times in a year was a regular routine of the church enabling lives more easier and convenient for the people of the Aradura especially to those who resides upper Aradura,’ the updates added.
