Kohima, Oct. 29 (EMN): Leaders cutting across political lines in Nagaland are told to “seek the face of God” and be responsible in their assigned duty while delivering goods to the people.
Founder of Leader Arise Nagaland (LAN), Rev. Luoliehu Yimsung, stated this during the Kingdom Leaders Prayer Breakfast (KLPB) held on October 29 at RCEMPA in Jotsoma village on the theme 'Kingdom leaders alliance: Biblical perspective for regional, national and independent political parties.'
Rev. Yimsung called upon the different political parties in Nagaland to 'seek the face of God’ and be responsible in one's duty as the Almighty has assigned to them in different capacities.
Stating that good leaders are in high demand, he reminded that people would reap the fruit depending on their leadership. As such, Yimsung cautioned the leaders must not betray their nation nor go astray from what God has bestowed upon them.
He also asked the political parties to build an alliance with God by seeking His guidance first before all their endeavours.
"If you want to have an alliance, it has to be from the Lord," he said adding, "An alliance must be established through God's direction. Everything under heaven belongs to God."
Yimsung also called upon the political leaders to seek counsel of God before embarking on a journey and to stop judging one another but come together as one by working together as a nation.
He further called upon the different political parties to come together as one alliance as a nation by saying, "We want Godly leaders."
According to him there are four kinds of people in an organisation namely wanderers, followers, achievers and leaders and five types of people including connectors, influencers, realists, enthusiasts and leaders.
Stating that God's love for Nagaland is immense, he has sought the political leaders to give the best while discharging their responsibilities.
"Let's struggle together so that we have synergy between us," he appealed.
"When you are in tune with God, the door or the nation will be open to you," Yimsung said, adding, "God can create history if you walk with Him."
Representatives from various political parties also spoke during a session on the topic "Who should I be in alliance with and who should I be in alliance with me/ party."
Other leaders who spoke during the session included Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu, leader of Naga People's Front; Dr. Andrew Ahoto, president of National People's Party; Salhoutuonuo Kruse, intending candidate for 8th Western Angami Constituency; Kihoto S Rotokha, general secretary of Janata Dal, JD (U) Nagaland Unit; Joel Naga, president of Rising People's Party; and Joshua Sumi.
The programme was an initiative of Leaders Arise Nagaland (LAN ) and Father’s House Church (FHC), Dimapur.
