Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): World Sunday School Day is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of November. Churches and worship centres in Nagaland also celebrated the day along with the rest of the world on Nov. 4. Press releases were received from various organisers on Sunday.
CBCK
The Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima has celebrated World Sunday School Day at the church premise at Kohima on Nov. 4 commemorating the day.
In line with the same, the Children Ministry of CBCK also organised Graduation Day for the outgoing students who will be joining Youth Department by 2019.
CBCK Senior Pastor Rev. Khrotso Mero pronounced words of divine blessings upon the graduating students while, Khruhizo Dozo, superintendent of Children Ministry had delivered the word of God.
KTBL
Kiphire Town Baptist Lithro celebrated Sunday school prayer and graduation day at KTBL organised by the Children Ministry of KTBL with the theme ‘participate in his glory’ on Nov. 4.
Athrongse Sangtam, the associate secretary of Christian Education and Literature USBLA was the speaker of the day. In his message the speaker said that everything on earth and above the skies was created by God for a special purpose. ‘We should be one among the best participants in praising for His wonderful creation,’ he said.
He also encouraged the graduating students to be more vigil in their life journey. ‘Be determined and put God first in whatever you do,’ he stated.
Various performances such as ‘Bible memory,’ singing, dancing etc., were presented by the students. Longdiba spoke on behalf of the graduating students while senior pastor of KTBL, Chopongkyu imitated a special prayer for the students.
Altogether, 46 students were graduated from Sunday school to youth department. Later, in the the Youth department conducted a special programme of welcoming the graduated students.

Unity Christian Prayer Centre at New Reserve in Kohima celebrated on Nov. 4. The speakers for the day were Ng. Tala Hillary, former secretary of Manipur Christian Revival Women Association; Benjamin Khing, UCPC pastor; and Dievilie, visiting pastor of UCPC. Further, senior Sunday school students have been graduated to youth department.
The members of Lotha Baptist Church at Diphupar (LBCD) in Dimapur celebrated World Sunday School Day on November 4. The education secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Pideno Kikon, was the speaker of the occasion, updates from the DPRO informed on Sunday. The speaker was said to have talked to the gathering on the thematic topic, ‘The worth of a child.’ Quoting from Psalms 127:3, Kikon described children as a gift and a heritage of God and given directly from the hands of God.
‘She reminded the congregation to ponder on their role as parents in the upbringing of their children as desired by God, as responsible parents,’ the press release stated.
During the event, Sunday school students of the church gave various art performances to the congregation. The performances included skits, choreography, dances, and Bible verse recitation, among others, the updates stated. The pastor of the church, Limhathung Lotha, spoke on behalf of the church. He delivered the welcome note and felicitated the Sunday school superintendent and teachers, the updates stated.
