- IMPHAL — The
deputy commissioner (DC) of Churachandpur district in Manipur, Dharun Kumar, on
Thursday inspected relief camps where the internally displaced persons (IDP)
are taking shelter apart from touring the villages, schools and health centres
in the affected blocks of the district.
- During the visit, Kumar extended his support to IDPs
residing in relief camps beyond the district headquarters.
- As part of the ongoing relief efforts, the DC visited
multiple camps in Sangaikot and Saikot blocks under Churachandpur, personally
interacting with the affected individuals.

- Attentively listening to the grievances of IDPs and assuring
them of timely assistance, the DC also encouraged the residents to place their
trust in the district administration and security forces. He also sought full
cooperation in maintaining law and order in the region.
- In addition to the visit, the DC, who was accompanied by ADC
Thangboi Gangte, CEO Lalthazam, district-level officers and other staff
members, also engaged with students and staff, aiming to ensure essential
services remain accessible.
- Committed to providing robust support under Dharun Kumar’s
leadership, the administration plans to visit the remaining relief camps in the
coming days.
