Chumukedima youth seizes expired commodities

Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): A large stock expired commodities were seized during a surprise checking, initiated by Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) from March 6 to 10 in and around its jurisdiction. The seized goods ranging from baby cream, powder to consumption items such as cold drinks, dairy products, biscuits and medicines. The seized items were destroyed in the presence of the Chumukedima town head GB, Chumukedima ‘A’ village chairman and the Chumukedima Mother’s Association. CTYO while advising the public to be aware of such health hazardous goods and items, also warned the business community to refrain from selling or stocking such commodities which will result in strict action against.
