Public of new Chumukedima ‘B’ Khel met on May 9 during which various issues pertaining to the development of the area “as well as cancelation of allotment to various individual who failed to develop their plot within the stipulated time frame as well as selling of their allotted plot in violation of the condition clearly mention in the allotment Patta,” were discussed. A note from the village said that a decision has been taken that no one shall be allowed to posses any portion of ‘B’ Khel land without land deed ‘or with the consent of the landowner’. “As per earlier notification issued, all land sale and purchase done without the knowledge of the landowner are treated as cancelled,” the note said.
“Those landowner whose land are verified and found valid are requested to develop their area at the earliest so as to avoid further misunderstanding. Hence, failing to develop their plot of land during the grace period shall be treated as cancelled thereafter,” the village’s authorities said in the note.
Also, “all constructed house owners” are requested to enroll and obtain their house numbers without delay.
Further, “any kind of anti-social activities which directly or indirectly invite disunity and set blemish to the village shall be dealt with according to the law of land,” the villagers said in another resolution.
“The meeting further resolved not to entertainment any grievances of any person who failed to attend today meeting as informed earlier,” it added.
