Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): The Chumoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has strictly banned all kinds of hunting and fishing within its village jurisdiction with immediate effect.
It has cautioned that violators will be penalised with upto INR 1 lakh depending on the severity of the violation and damages.
A press release from the society president and general secretary advised public to desist from igniting jungle burning wild fires; picnicking without permission from the youth office; collecting firewood and fodder feeds; and unauthorised door to door business, scrap business.
Any person or party violating the prohibitive order shall be solely responsible and be penalized according to the standing resolution of the society, it informed.
CVYS also informed that youth volunteers will keep regular vigil to prevent any miscreants and anti-socials from disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the village jurisdiction, as such, have advised people to avoid loitering around in the village vicinity after 8 pm without genuine reasons.
