Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): The residents of Chumoukedima Ward No. 8 have expressed anguish over the alleged murder of its member Lila Khati from the Gorkha community. She was reported missing for some days until her body was found by youths and relatives on July 11.
The ward chairman, Sanilhu Salhü, and the GB Rokovitso Kuotsu, have testified Ms Lila as a peace-loving resident of the Ward, who also enjoyed good rapport with everyone around her in Medziphema.
The residents have condemned the ‘beastly act’ by unknown people and requested the authority to nab and punish the culprits accordingly. The residents have assured to render helping hands to the authority in the investigation process to ensure that the culprits are identified and taken actions on them. It has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
