Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Chumoükedima Area GBs’ Union (CAGBU) has expressed delight to note that the work for improvement of NH 29 from New Field Check Gate to Chathe bridge had commenced. It stated that this improvement work on the said portion of the road is much needed step for the welfare of the public.
Construction of two lane from Newfield Check Gate to Zion Hospital Junction and four lane from Zion Hospital Junction via Purana Bazaar to Chumukedima are indispensable for development of the area and needs to be taken up on priority basis, the union general secretary, Atso Gwizan, and the president, Tokishe Achumi, stated in a press release.
While assuring full support to the initiative, the union appealed all the citizens to cooperate with the government in the project to ensure timely completion of the work as the project is for the welfare of all the people.
The union also made an earnest request to all the village councils along the NH 29 to assist in the project so that the works is executed unhindered.
It further appealed the government to execute the project earnestly so that the project is completed on time and with quality workmanship.
