Dimapur, Dec. 27 (EMN): The 42nd games and sports meet of Chozuba Town Youth Association (CTYA) was flagged off by Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, MLA 18 A/C Chozuba as the special guest on Dec. 26 at Chozuba town, stated an update received here on Thursday.
In his presidential address, President CTYA Vesekho Shijo noted that the five colonies and a veteran team will participate in the ongoing sports meet in various events.
Delivering his speech, Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, MLA 18 A/C Chozuba urged the youth and women society to assist the administration and law enforcement agency in order to gain a fruitful social status. He also asserted that sports and games is relatively for friendship, health, honour, and gain popularity, as a means of employment especially in law enforcing agencies, career etc. In the like of Dr. T. Ao and Chekrovolu Swuro who were raised from our own land, prove us the best example that it is possible to raise more national representatives. He encouraged the talented young people to specialise in a particular field. Above all else, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of everything and stated that one should acknowledge God in whatever profession one pursues.
The games and sports meet was flagged-off with an oath taking followed by tug-of-war. The event will conclude on Dec. 29.
