DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima District Badminton Association (CDBA) organised its 2nd Inter-School Badminton Tournament from July 4 to 5 at the Tetso Arena, Tetso College.


The event saw a turnout of 24 schools and 383 participants competing across various age categories, with Rincho Academy emerging as the overall champion, according to an update.


The tournament was attended by Hotovi Ayemi, vice president of the Nagaland Badminton Association, retired chief engineer, and current member of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), as the special guest.

In his address, Ayemi shared his experiences and encouraged all young players to strive for their best on the court.


Amit Kumar, Chief Manager of UCO Bank’s Jorhat Zonal Office, attended as the guest of honour.


Kumar emphasised UCO Bank’s commitment to supporting youth initiatives, expressing that the bank is always happy to partner in activities encouraging the youth and is present to support such endeavours.
