Chümoukedima District Badminton Association announces 2nd Interschool Badminton Tournament

DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima District Badminton Association (CDBA) announced the 2nd Interschool Badminton Tournament, to be held on July 4 and 5 at the Tetso Arena, Tetso College, Sovima.

According to an update, the tournament will feature young talents competing in boys' and girls' singles and doubles events across the following age categories: under-9, under-11, under-13, under-15, and under-17.

A highlight of this year’s tournament will be the "Overall Team Champion" trophy, awarded to the school with the best overall performance across all categories.

“This tournament is not just a competition but a stepping stone for our young players. The introduction of the Overall Team Champion Trophy adds a new level of excitement and motivation for schools to encourage participation and excellence.

“We are excited to host the second edition of the interschool tournament, which reflects our commitment to the development of badminton at the school level. Our goal is to provide consistent opportunities for young players to shine and grow in the sport,” shared the president of CDBA. 

The Chümoukedima District Badminton Association invited all schools, students, and the general public to join in supporting this celebration of youth, sportsmanship, and talent.
