Chümoukedima and Dimapur districts issue directives to line departments in preparation for the upcoming NEPEx 2026.

DIMAPUR — The District Disaster Management Authorities of Chümoukedima and Dimapur have issued directives for participation in a virtual capacity-building programme scheduled for April 22 in preparation for the upcoming Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2026.
The exercise forms part of a statewide initiative led by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) under the Home department to strengthen preparedness for earthquakes and extreme weather scenarios.

According to a DIPR report, a full-scale mock drill under NEPEx will be conducted across the state on April 30.
In Chümoukedima, the video conference will be held at 11:30 am at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall. Meanwhile, in Dimapur, the virtual capacity-building programme will also begin at 11:30 am at the Video Conference Hall, NIC, in the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
