Dimapur, Sep. 12: A Dimapur-based group, the Mind Blowers Club, will be organising a recreational programme for children named the “Children’s’ Recreational Event 2019” for children below the age of 13 years. The programme will be conducted from October 6 to the 8th at the Dimapur District Sports Council Stadium.

This was announced by the organisers at a press conference at Lerina’s Café on Thursday.

The three-day event aims to be a platform that provides for children’s activities as many of them these days prefer to be at home playing games and getting addicted to gadgets which have a bad influence on them, said the group’s secretary Mayansangla.

The group’s president Yangerla Jamir said there will be an art competition besides other recreational and innovative activities, karaoke and stalls. There will be prizes too, she said.

Entry to the arena daily is INR 500. A separate ticket for INR 100 will also be available, where there will be separate station ticket for those who are interested to participate in any of the activities.

The event is exclusively for children below 13 years of age. The carnival will be inaugurated at 4:00 pm. Children from orphanages will have free entry on this day.

The organisers also informed that tickets will be available at ICST & Abacus (Chumoukedima) opp. UCO Bank; Little Star Store at 4th Mile; Gadgets SPA opp. ECC, Padampukhuri; Little Store at Super Market; Candy House at Duncan; New Card Shop at Church Road; Shopping Arcade; Fine Things Circular Road, and at the venue.
