Nagaland University’s Lumami Campus Sports Club hosted a children’s sports meet featuring table tennis, badminton, chess, and fun games.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland University headquarters, Lumami, witnessed a variety of sporting activities for children under 18 years on August 23. The event was organised by the Lumami Campus Sports Club (LCSC) of Nagaland University.
According to an update, the competition saw participation from the wards of university employees, with the youngest contestant being just over two years old.
In the spoon race (open category), Barneel Deka secured the first position, followed by Y Brijraj Singha in second place and Sayra in third. In table tennis (girls under-11), Annagrace Lungbila Ki came first, while Rupankita Malakar and Sayra claimed second and third positions, respectively.

In table tennis (boys under-11), Antonio Stoiba Ki took the first place, with Kaushik Kumar Naik finishing second. In the boys under-18 category, Adit Thakur emerged as the winner, followed by Japeth Kihimi H Yeptho in second and Pungom in third place.
Chess also witnessed enthusiastic participation. In the under-11 open category, Ivulho Phucho secured the first place, followed by Antonio Stoiba Ki in second and Aranya Das in third. In the under-18 open category, Pungom took the top spot, while Yumnam Brijesh Singha and Kaushik Deka finished second and third, respectively.
In badminton (girls under-11), Rupankita Malakar clinched the first position, followed by Lee-Alo H Yeptho and Annagrace Lungbila Ki in second and third places. In the boys under-11 category, Idongvi Asher Anar stood first, with Aranya Das securing second and Antonio Stoiba Ki third.
In the boys under-18 section, Japeth Kihimi H Yeptho won first place, followed by Kohdi Tertius Anar in second and Yumnam Brijesh Singha in third.
In the musical chair (under-10 open category), Kikruvino Kiso claimed the first position, while Kaushik Kumar Naik and Y Brijraj Singha stood second and third, respectively.
The valedictory function was chaired by Dr. Rumi Dhar, vice president of LCSC. Short speeches were delivered by chief guest Dr. Abemo, registrar of Nagaland University, along with Dr. Likhase Sangtam, former president of LCSC, Dr. Tovishe Phucho, founding president of LCSC, and Peter Ki, president of LCSC.
Prizes were handed over by the chief guest, who is also the patron of the Lumami Campus Sports Club.
