Chiephobozou sub-division holds departmental meeting

DIMAPUR — The monthly head of departments meeting of offices under Chiephobozou sub- division was held at the DB's Court, ADC Office, Chiephobozou, Kohima, on Thursday.

Highlighting the departmental activities on preventing of sexual harassment (POSH), Sr. Supervisor of Social Welfare department, Vilakienuo, emphasised that the policy is designed to create a safe and respectful environment for all the employees, particularly working women by preventing and addressing sexual harassment.

She explained that the policy establishes a reporting mechanism for employees to address incidents of sexual harassment, ensuring fair investigation and resolution of complaints, primarily overseen by the Ministry of Women and Child Development under the Social Welfare department.

Vilakienuo announced that the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), comprising a presiding officer, employee members, and external members from NGOs, has submitted its nominated members' names to the ADC, Chiephobozou.

Presenting the departmental activities on non biodegradable waste management efforts, Sedevilie Suohu, SDO (PHED), said that plastic storage units have been set up in each village to collect plastic waste. The collected waste is then transported to the plastic segregation unit at Botsa and the boiling machine at Chiephobozou, both of which are nearing completion under the SBM project.

ADC Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, chaired the meeting, discussing monsoon preparedness and various other issues with the members.
