Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): State chief secretary and finance commissioner, Temjen Toy has informed that Aadhaar linking of beneficiaries would be done to the extent possible for all direct benefit transfer under state schemes and centrally sponsored schemes. Informing this in a notifivation, the chief secretary has stated that all cash and kind benefits should be provided to the beneficiaries through Aadhaar linkage and direct benefit transfer.
Therefore, all departments/agencies implementing such schemes are requested to regularly assess the progress of Aadhaar seeding with the beneficiary bank account and complete the process at the earliest.
He, however, stated that no beneficiaries would be deprived of benefit for want of Aadhaar number until such time the beneficiaries obtain Aadhaar number. Other relevant documents such as voter identity card, PAN card, ration card etc may be used for authentication of the beneficiary.
