DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Secretary, Dr. J
Alam, attended the 65th general session of the Zhavame Students' Union (ZSU)
held at the Public Amphitheatre, Pame Tsude, Zhavame village in Phek on
Saturday.
The session was held on the theme 'Equipping students for a
brighter tomorrow', according to a DIPR report.
Addressing the occasion, Dr. Alam spoke about the rich
cultural heritage and practices of the state, which, he said, have a progressive
impact on the Naga people.
Challenging the student community to set targets and aims in
life, Dr. Alam urged the students to work harder towards achieving their goals,
whether in the arts, music, sports, or as officers in government offices.
The Chief Secretary also acknowledged his keen interest in
the developmental activities of Zhavame village and stated that the
construction of road connectivity from Zhavachi to Zhavame village, a proposal
initiated by the village, has been approved with a sanctioned amount of INR 25
lakh.
The president of Naga Students' Federation, Medovi Rhi, was
the guest of honour, while the section officer of SCERT, Verekhru Domeh, was
the valedictory guest of the general session.
