Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Members of the public of Chessore, in Tuensang district, are deeply concerned that the “execrable” condition of their primary healthcare centre remains in “demolition status.”
The Chessore Area Public Forum issued a press release on Saturday urging authorities to address the matter. Failing to address said grievance will invite the forum to take up “crucial drastic steps,” the press release warned. In the words of the forum: “The Chessore Area Public Forum being conversant of the execrable condition of the Chessore primary health care bewail that the Chessore health care at this dawn stands still in demolition status and is provisionally adjusted at the doctor quarter and runs the office.”
The primary health centre at Chessore is the only medical facility for the area which consists of 21 villages, the forum stated.
Alongside the deplorable health care facility, medical officers are “not available” for some years; they left behind the “vaccinator ANM and GNM,” the note explained. During times of emergencies that require medical intervention, the press release explained, “Chessorians” suffer from the lack of doctors.
The organisation added a warning to the statement: “Therefore the Chessore Area Public Forum taking note of the lapses once again earnestly appeals the competent authority to look into the matter immediately failing to the comply the forum will not hesitate to take up a crucial drastic steps for the welfare of its area and if any unfortunate causalities emerges during the course of action the state government will be sole responsible.”
