Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): The Chessore Area GBs’ Federation has expressed “anguish” over what it said was a recent road maintenance work in its area that was undertaken by the Roads & Bridges department. The GBs have termed it “completely unsatisfactory” and that “the road stands still in deplorable condition.”
A statement from the GBs federation’s General Secretary Ramji R stated, “The citizens are conversant of the work and are in chaos what work has been uphold as no rational change has been witnessed, the lackadaisical and ignorant gesture from the department is intolerable as everyone is very much aware of the road condition within Chessore area and how it is affecting the normal life of its denizens.”
In this regard, the federation has appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter immediately lest it is “compelled to take a drastic step.”
