Dimapur, May 19: A chess tourney the State Chess Challenger, is now open to players for those in Nagaland. The Nagaland Chess Association informed of the event in a press note that was issued to the media on Thursday, May 19.
The association informed that the State Chess Challenger is open to interested players for those residing within the State of Nagaland. President Nagaland Chess Association K. Sekhamo informed that for players from outside the state of Nagaland willing to participate should provide residential proof.
The prizes will be awarded on 2 Categories (i) General (ii) Under 16 Years. For the under 16 year’s category, the participants need to produce date of birth certificate.
Top 16 (sixteen) will be selected from the Chess Challenger. These 16 selected players along with previous top 4 players who have already represented the State at the National Chess Challenger will play at the State 'A' Chess Premier.
The Prize money Challenger will be awarded to top 10 players in the general category and top 3 players under 16 years category.
